About HOWS

At Horn Optimal Wellness Services, we are experienced practitioners on a mission to serve those who are passionate about seeking more for themselves.

Our work uses an integrative approach within the therapeutic alliance with clients.

We believe that as holders of the space for clients, there are opportunities for increased insight to one’s own authentic voice and power.

While we are passionate about serving persons of color, especially those from the Black, African-American, and African diaspora; we are open to working with other members of indigenous identities as well.

Meet The Founders

  • Chief Executive Officer

Welcome again! Excited to know that you have chosen Horn Optimal Wellness Services to either begin or continue your healing process. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker educated in Stony Brook, New York. I am also credentialed as Pupil Services Credentialed Counselor in the state of California.

I am Black Caribbean from New York City and glad to call the Bay Area home. For the past twenty years I have specialized in counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, groups and families – specifically children and young adults for over twenty years. I specialize in anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and loss, and life transitions.

My approach is person centered and strength based, incorporating Psychodynamic, Relational and Narrative Based principles into my work. I believe that everyone has a voice that needs to be expressed to be seen for who they are, heard and valued for what they bring. I support that our healing journey together can be creative, restorative and facilitate healing to parts of ourselves that have been fractured or fragmented by life.

  • Co-Owner, Chief Program Officer

Welcome to the beginning of our shared and vulnerable space! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist educated at the University of San Francisco (USF). I hold my Doctorate in International and Multicultural Education from USF as well.

As a native San Franciscan, my passion for creating affirming spaces has been fueled by my twenty-five years of serving "underserved populations" throughout San Francisco communities and the Greater Bay Area.

My healing practices include teaching, counseling, and coaching. Throughout my years in the healing field, I developed a passion for creating spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. In these various healing spaces, I use a unique engagement style of R.A.M. (Relationship-Accountability-Mentoring) to create an environment which allows clients to feel empowered and become vulnerable. My vision for community mental health healing is to support families, especially families of color, using Relationship based healing, specifically a Narrative Therapy approach to reclaim their stories.
